HTC operate NZ’s only Telarc registered nation wide mobile calibration service. Accurate torque wrench calibration, spares, repairs, and certificates for all major brand torque wrenches are available on-site. HTC are able to offer a mobile calibration service for wrenches up to 1500 Nm, for bigger wrenches our in-house testing laboratory is capable of certifying wrenches up to 33,895 Nm.

Does your torque wrench have an up to date calibration certificate? Today torque wrenches are being used more and more. For example, 10 years ago approximately 25% of fasteners on a vehicle were controlled by torque settings. Today virtually every fastener is controlled by torque settings.
In NZ the LTSA states that repairs to a damaged or worn vehicle, it’s structure and components must restore it within ‘safe tolerance’ of the state when manufactured. The condition of torque wrenches are assessed against the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance procedures & calibration schedule. Most manufactures recommend a torque wrench is recalibrated at least once a year. Before calibration or service is undertaken we write a quick report on the torque wrench’s condition so clients have a documented record of what repairs were done & why they needed to be done.
In-house testing laboratory
We also calibrate larger hydraulic and manual wrenches as well as torque multipliers up to 33,895 Nm. Our in-house testing laboratory is equipped to handle major repairs, test & certify trolley & fork hoist jacks, cylinders, air bags, compression tools, rescue equipment & much more. We certify all major brands and have hire tools available for most equipment at discounted rates so you can keep working while your equipment is being calibrated. No down time.
Reminder Service
Part of HTC’s ongoing service is reminding client’s that their torque wrenches are due to be re-calibrated. To help clients keep their certifications up to date our database tracks each torque wrench and sends a reminder letter a month before calibration is due. We remember so you don’t have to.
